Embark on a transformative journey each year as high school students from all corners of the country delve into the Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological, and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). Guided by community-based volunteers, participants spend a year honing their craft, whether in visual arts, business, performing arts, or culinary endeavors. This immersive experience crescendos in local and national events where students vie for scholarships and other coveted rewards.
At ACT-SO, we empower young Black students to broaden their horizons and refine their skills across a spectrum of disciplines. From the performing arts and culinary craftsmanship to the realms of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), students can showcase their prowess in up to three competition areas. Delve into our 32 competitive fields and unleash your potential.
